François' organic dairy farm

François has been running the family farm since 2008, producing organic milk in the Parc Naturel Régional de l'Avesnois, more precisely in the village of Solre-le-Château. The cows graze in the meadows from April to November.

Sandrine welcomes you all year round to La Ferme aux Charmes, whether for a weekend or a vacation in the fresh country air. You can visit the farm or watch the little calves.

The house has 4 guest rooms that can also be booked as a whole, as a gîte, for a group of friends or a family.

Breakfast is prepared with organic milk from the farm, and you'll enjoy home-made yoghurts and jams.

On-site protected outdoor play area

We've created a sheltered play area behind the house, just before entering the garden.

In this covered area, you can play table tennis, basketball, darts and mini-football.

We also store the bicycles we lend you free of charge

The Charmes farm garden

Toboggan and swings for the little ones. Older children can enjoy deckchairs and a barbecue for longer stays.
We have several beds of strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants, and make jams for breakfast as well as tarts and clafoutis.
At the bottom of the garden, the orchard offers us apples, pears, plums and cherries. Every year, we take our apples to the press, where we make juice for breakfast.
After summer comes autumn, when we harvest walnuts and a few hazelnuts.
The most imposing tree in the garden is the majestic hundred-year-old pear tree, which keeps us cool in summer.
Beyond the garden, we enjoy the calm of nature and watch the cows grazing in the pastures.

Hiking on foot
A path near the house leads to the village center of Solre le Château (less than 2 km)

- biau Ri circuit (7 or 11 kms)
- bois de Groez circuit (6 or 12.5 kms)
